Constants

Throughout our lives there are constants.   People we know, that no matter how far away we go or how long we are gone, when we see each other again, it’ll be like we never left.  For many people it’s their family, for others their childhood friends, for still others their neighbors, coworkers and roommates.  It doesn’t really matter who your’s are; the feeling is the same, pure love, trust and faith in one another.  No matter what happens, they’ll always be there for you, even when they are not physically there.  As we get older and technology and transportation seemingly shrink the world around us, it’s even more important to let your “constants” know you care.  It’s all to easy to say, next summer, next visit or even tomorrow.  To think it’s only a short flight, drive or ride to see each other, we have all the time in the world.  You do have your whole life time, but wouldn’t it be great if more memories, more minutes, more hours of it were filled with those who mean so much and care so deeply about you?  Wouldn’t it be better than so many of the other things we choose to pass it by for?  Take the drive, flight or ride or call them and chat like you did when you were kids, neighbors or roommates.  Fill you time with real live connections, with people you care about, that care about you, no matter what.  Everything else will fit in somewhere,  focus on each other and just connect…be constants.
