Better Than We Found It

The Bees spread pollen as they gather nectar

Ensuring the next season’s blooms

The trees shed their seeds and leaves

Feeding tiny mycellium, mushrooms

The shells first homes, then sand to the sea

Our bodies returning to earth, beyond you and me

Humans THINK we are different

With our free will and complex thoughts

That we some how transcend our ecosystem, I’m here to claim, we do not

We must protect the earth

Leave it better than it was

For we each were born unto it

Just Because
